Information Day on 13/01-14/01/2014 in Luxembourg – H2020 – Robotics

Dear Sir / Madam,

As you might be interested in activities that are carried out in Robotics in the EU’s H2020 Framework Programme for research and innovation, we would like to inform you about an upcoming information day.

The first Call for Proposals of H2020 will be released on 11/12/2013 and will close on 23/04/2014 [tentative dates to be confirmed]. Our Unit A2 of the Communication Networks, Content and Technology Directorate-General will organize an information event in Luxembourg on the 13th and 14th January 2014 to present the activities, focus and goals of “Robotics” within this Call.

On the first half-day, there will be a plenary session, with an opening presentation of robotics in H2020 by Libor Král, Head of Unit and various presentations by other members of the Robotics Unit, with opportunity for questions and discussion.
It will be followed on the second half-day by a networking workshop where participants will have the possibility to present briefly their proposal ideas and expertise. An informal networking session will be organized for people interested in participating in projects. Workshop participants will also have the possibility to discuss their proposal ideas with Commission staff in bilateral meetings.

You will find information on this H2020 event on the Digital Agenda Website, with an overview of the programme and a link to download the H2020-Call 1 Robotics Questions & Answers document. More general information on Robotics can be found on our unit pages.

Participation in the event is free but requires pre-registration and confirmation. Please note that, due to space constraints, the number of participants is strictly limited. Participation will be confirmed on a first-come first-served basis and is limited to one representative per organization. Only people who receive a confirmation will be allowed to attend the meeting.
If you are interested, please complete and send in the form below, to the mailbox: CNECT-H2020-ROBOTICS-INFO-DAY@ec.europa.eu
Registration is open until 16/12/2013 (by 17h00 Brussels time).

Finally, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that the emphasis of the event will be on questions related to the Call’s research topics, and for this reason the information day targets primarily persons active in the research community. Administrative and financial issues will not be discussed in any detail during the event.

We look forward to seeing you in Luxembourg.

Best regards,

Anne Bajart
Project Officer

On behalf of Libor KRAL, Head of Unit
A2, Robotics, Communication Networks, Content and Technology Directorate-General
