The CYTED Program has announced the 2024 call for funding for Thematic Forums, through a cooperation line consisting of meetings between Ibero-American entrepreneurs and researchers. These meetings aim to address specialized topics around a specific technological sector in order to promote innovation, technology transfer and cooperation projects.

The selected projects will receive CYTED funding up to a maximum of €10,000, which only includes tickets and accommodation for representatives of Ibero-American entities, with the exception of representatives of the host country. Applicants must allocate additional funds to the CYTED contribution for the organization of their forums. Information on the requirements of the call and the Guide to submitting applications are available for consultation.

The CYTED Forums aim to stimulate the incorporation of knowledge in the private and public sectors of Ibero-American countries and the generation of innovation, technology transfer and cooperation projects, as well as attracting national and international funding. They also aim to enable and sponsor the sustainability of previously established projects, collaborations and interactions, particularly those funded by CYTED.

This program, which has been running since 1984, has funded more than 5,000 projects over the years. FCT represents Portugal in the CYTED Program, where Portuguese researchers are currently involved in thirty thematic networks, coordinating four of them.

This call, open until July 15, is an opportunity for Portuguese researchers to increase their participation and take advantage of funding for collaboration in high-impact R&D projects in the priority areas of the CYTED program.
