The deadline for applications for Studentships under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for the academic years 2023/24 and 2024/25 is now open.

Studentships are aimed at female students who wish to attend master’s programmes in the nuclear field at accredited universities and includes the opportunity to undertake a 12-month internship at the IAEA.

The aim of this programme is to support young women studying in nuclear-related fields relevant to the work of the IAEA. The objective is to promote the safe and peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology, such as nuclear engineering, nuclear physics and chemistry, nuclear medicine, isotopic techniques, radiation biology, nuclear safety and security, non-proliferation and nuclear law.

The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Studentships Programme (MSCFP) aims to help increase the number of women in the nuclear field by supporting an inclusive workforce of men and women who contribute to and drive global scientific and technological innovation.

Portugal has been a member of the IAEA since 1957 and the FCT promotes the participation of the national scientific and technological community in the Studentships Marie Sklodowska-Curie Study Programme.

Further information about the programme and instructions on how to apply are available on this page.
