FCT updated the value of Studentships Research
The FCT has updated the value of all the Studentships research grants covered by the Studentships Research Regulation. The update takes effect on January 1, 2024.
The evolution of the monthly maintenance allowances for all Studentships is determined annually by the FCT’s Board of Directors, taking into account the evolution of the minimum wage for each year. For 2024, the value of the minimum wage has been set at 820 euros, corresponding to an increase of 60 euros compared to the amount in force in 2023. Therefore, at its meeting on January 11, 2024, the FCT Board of Directors decided to set the increase in Studentships to coincide with the nominal increase in the minimum wage, and also determined that it would apply to all grant holders covered by the types of Studentships provided for in previous regulations, whose Studentships are still running.
