FCT co-organizes workshop on “Support Measures for Research Careers”
FCT and INESC TEC, in collaboration with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, are organizing a workshop on “Measures to Support Research Careers”, as part of Action 4 – Attractive research careers, the circulation of researchers and mobility – of the ERA Policy Agenda. The event will take place on April 17, 2024 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto and also online.
This workshop has three objectives:
1) promote the support measures contained in the Council Recommendation within the European Framework for Research Careers, recently approved by the Council of the European Union.
2) to encourage greater use of the support measures provided for in this Recommendation, such as EURAXESS and the ERA TALENT Platform, among others, highlighting the Human Resources Strategy for Research – HRS4R Label – which is important for participation in Horizon Europe and the future EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation(FP10). It also aims to encourage participation in the future Calls of Horizon Europe’s WIDERA Program, boosting greater participation in these instruments at national level.
3) stimulate dialogue and the sharing of experiences between Member States and research and higher education institutions on the best ways to implement and participate in these instruments, identifying any specific constraints and ways to overcome them.
The event is aimed at managers and those responsible for the human resources strategy of public and private research institutions and higher education institutions, and delegates to Action 4.
The workshop “Support Measures for Research Careers” will take place in a hybrid format (face-to-face and online participation) and is free to attend, with registration required by April 15 via this link.
