European Partnership Sustainable Blue Economy launches 2nd Joint Transnational Call

European Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership

The European Partnership co-funded under the Horizon Europe Framework Program, SBEP – Sustainable Blue Economy Partnershiphas opened the first call for applications for the 2nd Joint Transnational Call (CTC) – “Unified paths to a climate-neutral, sustainable, and resilient blue economy: engaging civil society, academia, policy, and industry“.

Call aims to support transnational research and innovation projects lasting 36 months and addressing one of the following four priority areas:

– Priority area 1: Digital Twins of the Ocean (DTO) at regional sub basin scale

– Priority area 2: Blue economy sectors, development of marine multi-use infrastructures 

– Priority area 3: Planning and managing sea-uses at the regional level 

– Priority area 4: Blue Bioresources

The deadline for the first phase of application submission (pre-proposals) is 14:00 (Lisbon time) on April 10. Only the pre-proposals selected by the international evaluation panel will be invited to submit a full proposal in the second application submission phase, which will run from mid-July until November 6.

This Call has the participation of national and regional funding organizations from 26 countries, responsible for funding research and innovation actions in the area of the blue economy, and has a budget of around 35 million euros. FCT, FRCT (Azores) and CCDR-Centro are the national funding organizations for this Call.
