Draft Amendment to the Regulation on the Evaluation and Multiannual Financing of R&D Units
Under the terms of articles 99 and 101 of the Code of Administrative Procedure, the FCT Board of Directors submits for public consultation the proposal to amend the Regulation on the Evaluation and Multiannual Financing of FCT Research and Development Units, Regulation no. 404/2022, amended by Regulation no. 789/2023, published in Diário da República, 2nd series, no. 140, of 20 July 2023.
Articles 1, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 14 of Regulation no. 404/2022, as amended by Regulation no. 789/2023, published in Diário da República, 2nd series, no. 140, of 20 July 2023, are amended.
This amendment to the Regulation on the assessment and multiannual funding of R&D units introduces weighting factors for the purposes of calculating basic funding and eligibility criteria, which take into account the appreciable levels of permeability between teaching and research activities, as well as laboratory intensity, which is determined according to the type of infrastructure and equipment that the units allocate to R&D.
