1st Call for Proposals on Research Projects Portugal-India selected 10 projects
Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) and the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India (DST) released the results of the 1st joint call for research projects, launched under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two institutions in 2019. The results are available for consultation here.
This call is intended to encourage the development of scientific and technological cooperation between Indian and Portuguese researchers, through the creation of scientific partnerships between research groups from both countries and the strengthening of the networks already created, consolidating the bilateral cooperation in Science and Technology between Portugal and India, in areas such as Biotechnology, Energy, Environment, Infrastructure Sustainability, Climate Change, Disaster Management, and Marine Science and Technologies.
Of the 417 eligible applications submitted, 10 proposals were selected for funding. The projects supported under this competition will start in 2022 and last 36 months, representing a total investment of 1 million euros by FCT to support the expenses of the Portuguese research teams.
