4th edition of the IN3+ Award
Applications are open for the 4th edition of the IN3+ Award, promoted by the Imprensa Nacional – Casa da Moeda (INCM). This initiative is for all researchers, entrepreneurs, research centres, universities and national and international companies or start-ups. The award, which aims to support and stimulate research and innovation in Portugal, has the High Patronage of the President of the Republic.
1 million euros will be distributed to the selected projects in the areas of Advanced Information Systems; Nanotechnology; Production Technology and Advanced Materials; and Automation and Robotics. First place will receive funding of up to 600,000 euros, second place up to 250,000 euros and third place up to 150,000 euros.
The projects will be evaluated and selected according to:
- Creativity and innovation: originality of the idea, differentiation from the target market, progress in relation to the state of the art;
- The potential of the opportunity identified: Potential market size, existing competition, the existence of barriers to new players, potential for growth and integration into the value chain, potential for internationalisation and potential for affirmation of the INCM brand.
The award ceremony will take place in November 2023, on a date to be announced.
