ANI AND FCT ORGANIZE THE 2ND ANNUAL MEETING OF COLLABORATIVE LABORATORIES
ANI and the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) are organizing the second edition of the Annual Meeting of Collaborative Laboratories (CoLABS). The event will take place with physical attendance in the University of Aveiro Campus, between November 9th and 10th, and will be transmitted via live streaming through ANI’s Youtube channel.
The 2nd Anual Meeting of Collaborative Laboratories aims to promote and monitor the activities and progressive evolution of the 35 CoLAB currently recognized, as well as their development in the context of research and innovation regional, national and European strategies. This 2nd edition of the initiative also commits to debating the role of the CoLAB in the dynamics of innovation, job creation and qualified employment in Portugal.
The event will be chaired by the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor, and will count on the presence of Joana Mendonça, President of ANI, Helena Pereira, President of the FCT, José Luís Encarnação, Coordinator of the International Expert Panel, as well as the members of that international panel. The session will feature panels on various themes: opportunities, challenges and lessons learned for the CoLAB; future directions for research and cooperation with the industry, in a regional approach, in which representatives of the Coordination and Regional Development Commissions will participate. There will also be approaches to case studies by international entities such as DFKI, FRAUNHOFER and TNO.
Regarding the more technical component of the event, each CoLAB will present, in 5 minutes, the activities developed throughout the last year and will have about 10 minutes to answer a series of questions by the international experts.
All the event’s sessions will be conducted entirely in English.
ANI is the entity that accompanies the implementation of the research and innovation agenda of all CoLAB. The process of recognition of the Collaborative Laboratories is assured by the FCT.
