Studentships Fulbright for Doctorates and Research with the support of FCT
Applications are now open for the Studentships Fulbright Doctoral and Research Fellowships with FCT support, which run until December 31, 2025.
A Studentship Fulbright Doctoral Scholarship is supported by FCT and is aimed at students admitted to PhD programs at US universities in the academic year 2025/2026, and is funded up to a maximum of $36,000 for the first year of studies. The Fulbright Commission and the Institute of International Education will also accompany the scholarship holder during their stay in the USA.
As for Studentship Fulbright for Research with the support of FCTis available to support research projects at universities or research centers in the United States of America for the academic year 2025/2026. This Studentship is aimed at doctoral scholarship holders directly funded by the FCT who have planned or will plan, within the scope of their training plan, to carry out a period of research at a US university or research center.
The students who are selected for these Studentships will enjoy, among other benefits, the opportunity to participate in seminars and other cultural and scientific activities organized by the Fulbright Program during their stay in the USA and integration into the worldwide network of Fulbright grantees.
