FCT invites potential interested parties from the national Science, Technology, Innovation and Public Administration sectors to submit expressions of interest in accessing the pre-production phase of the new MareNostrum 5 supercomputer, whose work is expected to last 3 months, starting in June/July 2024. MareNostrum 5 (MN5) is a new European supercomputing platform installed at the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre (BSC), in which Portugal has a 5% stake, and the physical and logical assembly of the two largest computational partitions was recently completed.

Interested parties should complete and submit the simplified form at https://forms.office.com/e/1Qn351dt7R, available until June 27, 2024. This access is only intended for research projects or pre-commercial innovation. For more information, please consult the page dedicated to this expression of interest on the FCT website. This process closes when the available resources are exhausted or when the projects of type A3 – MareNostrum 5 in the 4th Call of Advanced Computing Projects are approved.

We would also like to remind you that until May 31 (18:00 Lisbon time), applications for larger accesses (A3) to this platform are still open.
